We offer regular Buddhist practice sessions both in the shrine room and by streaming via Zoom twice a week: Wednesdays from 7.30pm – 8.30pm and on Saturday from 9.30am – 10.30am (UK time). The Zoom link is at the bottom of this page.
All are welcome to join us, whether you’ve attended Buddhist practice before or not.
If you are coming in person, doors open ten minutes before practice begins. There is no parking at the temple. Practice begins promptly.
If you are coming online, please have your video on if possible.
Practice starts with a Dharma Glimpse by a member of our community or a reading. We then sit quietly together, do some chanting, and recite the refuges, vows and precepts. There is then a Dharma talk from whoever is leading practice, and we finish with prostrations to the Buddha.
You can see the liturgy we recite here and view some of our past practice sessions on our Youtube channel here.
We suggest a donation of £5 – £12 for each session, or whatever you can afford. We need money to run the temple, and we don’t ever want finances to be a barrier to anyone joining us. You can either leave money in the golden bowl in the temple hallway or make a one-off or regular donation here.
We look forward to welcoming you!
Namo Amida Bu,
The Bright Earth ministers
