We offer regular Buddhist practice sessions both in the shrine room and by streaming this practice through Zoom twice a week: Wednesdays from 7.30pm until 8.30pm and on Saturday mornings from 9.30am until 10.30am UK time (we do some walking meditation in the temple garden first from 9am). Click on the calendar to find the Zoom link.

All are welcome to join us, whether you’ve attended Buddhist practice before or not. We do offer practice that is particularly suited to first timers on the first week of every month – dates below.

Our services start with a Dharma Glimpse read out by someone in the group. We’re always looking for new Dharma Glimpses – you can read our guidelines here, and read examples here. Do send us one (hello@brightearth.org) if you feel inspired! We then sit quietly together, do some chanting, and reciting the refuges and precepts. There is then a Dharma talk from whoever is leading practice, and we finish with prostrations. Unfortunately we have to keep Zoom muted as the time differences make for confusing chanting, but we hope that you’ll chant along at home.

You can read more on this page: What to expect during practice sessions or view some of our past practice sessions on our Youtube channel here.

We suggest a donation of £8 for each session (or whatever you can afford) to support the work of the temple and to keep our offerings available to everyone. You can either leave money in the golden bowl in the temple hallway or make a one-off or regular donation here.

We look forward to welcoming you!
    Namo Amitabha.
