Here at Bright Earth we are committed to creating a space where a broad diversity of people feel welcome.

Although we will continue to do our own work on, for example, our privilege, we know that as bombu (foolish) beings we will continue to make mistakes. We always welcome feedback, and we trust that both individually and as a sangha we will continue to learn.

You are welcome here if you’re an experienced Buddhist practitioner or if you’ve never encountered Buddhism before.

You are welcome here if you are black, brown, white or any other race or colour.

You are welcome here if you are younger, older, or anything in between.

You are welcome here if you are gay or straight, bisexual, queer or of any sexuality.

You’re welcome if you’re cis gender, trans, non-binary etc.

You are welcome whatever your nationality or ethnicity, and whatever your religion or spiritual beliefs.

You are welcome whatever your politics are, as long as you are willing to treat others with respect in our spaces.

You are welcome regardless of how much money you have and what you do for a living. You are welcome if you are working class, middle class, or upper class.

You are welcome if you have a physical disability (at the moment we don’t have a disabled toilet – we’re working on it!). You are welcome if you have a learning disability. You are welcome if you identify as neurodivergent. We will do our best to adapt our support to your individual needs – do contact us for more information.

If you haven’t found yourself on this list, then you are also welcome!
